A Rockin Holiday Gift!

Dear Rockstars,

This is your chance to give your spouse the ultimate gift this Holiday.  Book a spot at our JanuaryNYC camp and give the gift of rock and roll before we're sold out.  We've booked a block of rooms at the  Hilton downtown at a room rate of only $179/night.  Room rates will go up after December 12, so call now to book your spot!  We also have a super low, special Rock Camp room rate at the Atlantis Resort for our February Bahamas camp - rooms start at $249/night!

I would like to welcome back Spike Edney of Queen who will be joining our counselor lineup in NY.  If you caught the piece CBS produced on our London camp, Spike was the featured counselor.  Former Grand Funk Railroad front-man, Mark Farner, will also be joining the NY camp as a counselor.   Spike and Mark are joining a stellar NY lineup that includes The Who's Roger Daltrey, songwriter Tommy James (Crimson and Clover, I Think We're Alone Now, Mony Mony), and producer extraordinaire Phil Ramone.  For more information or to sign up for the 4 or 6 day NY camp, please click here or call 888.762.2263 x1.

Our corporate division rocked Pittsburgh last week with an corporate camp and All-Star jam.   Five Rock Star counselors worked with their individual bands to rewrite the lyrics to a famous song using the hosting company's corporate themes.  Each camper band then performed for their colleagues and our Rock Stars finished off the night with an amazing jam.  Joining us for the first time in Pittsburgh was guitarist extraordinaire Reb Beach.  Reb is the guitarist for Winger and Whitesnake and has also played with Alice Cooper and Dokken.  It was an awesome night that will undoubtedly be relived at the water cooler for months to come.  In fact, the hosting company has already approached us about doing another camp in 2011!  To find out how Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp can rock your business, please call David Fishof at 888-762-2263 for more information!

Upcoming Camps:

Happy Thanksgiving and Rock Camp TV Marathon!

Dear Rockstars,

First of all, I would like to wish you and yours a happy and safe Thanksgiving.  I am also excited to announce that VH1 Classic will be running a Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp marathon onThanksgiving Day!  Starting at 1:30pm you can watch every episode of Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp back to back.

Turkey + rock and roll =  the perfect day!

We just finished the last of our four weekend camps in Chicago.  Thank you to everybody who came to the camp or one of the concerts, our Rock Stars, and the staff for an amazing series of camps!  I’ve included some feedback we received below.

I wanted to share with you a very touching story reported by Former Camper and NBC correspondent, Kevin Tibbles. For the last 13 years we at Rock Camp have had the privilege of hosting and playing alongside some of the most incredible Military Veterans. So when I saw this MSNBS story on Veteran Day it just reinforced how the power of music makes a difference in lives.

Rock on!

Upcoming Camps:

What our Campers are Saying...

"This was my first camp and I didn’t have any idea what a treat I was in for. I just wanted to come see what this was about and have a good time getting my jam on. Been a long while for me. I was nervous and you all threw that right out the window. Thank you for that! My experience with the fellow musicians was wonderful." - David S.

"We hated  to leave ... it was a great experience and we hope to see all of you again soon.
Once again I would like to express that Rock N Roll fantasy camp is a truly Professional and top notch operation.  What you did in such a short span of time was truly phenomenal.  I would highly recommend this experience to anyone." - Pete K.

"I just wanted to thank you all again for a second great camp in San Francisco.   The experience was exceptional.  My group loved performing at the Fillmore.   These historic venues are just a blast to experience." - Ken V.

"It's been 4 days since my band played at the House of Blues in Dallas and I still haven't come down. Thanks to all the counselors for making the experience incredible. They were not only great to be around, the musical talent they brought was amazing. There really is a reason those guys are professional musicians. Also, the staff could not have done a better job of coordinating and running the program. This truly is a one-in-a-lifetime experience." - Bennett W.

RRFC Appreciation Special!

Dear Rockstars!

With the show on VH1 Classic doing tremendous and with more camps and more programs within them that we are able to offer, it is truly a testament to all of your support, suggestions, and loyalty. Now, we want to make sure that we reciprocate this, as well.

For our upcoming camps in New York and the Bahamas, on top of the early bird and pay in full specials, we would like to offer you a Free “Groupie” Package (valued up to $699) if you have a friend or a spouse who would love the chance to be at all of the facilities, lunches, and dinners to live the dream with you! You can only get this offer by calling in to me at 888.762.2263 ext 1.
As I made mention to earlier, we want to show all of you our never ending appreciation for allowing us to come this far and to allow us to share in your lives. As much as the camp has meant to you and changed your life, it has meant just as much to us to know we can be a small part of it. It is truly humbling, and gives us a great sense of pride in the work that we do.

The main goal of Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp has never changed: allow people to live their dreams and change their lives in the process. Believe me, as a musician myself, it is a very difficult rock to climb in order to make a living in music, much less become a star. The beauty I have found in this experience is that we have shed all the blood, the sweat, and the tears for you, making the normal steps unnecessary.
To get more information, tell me about your past experience, or to sign up, give us a call at 888.762.2263 ext 1 and we will be more than happy to hear from you and assist you in any way that we can.

Chicago Is Your Last Chance to Jam Live with Dickey Betts (Allman Brother)

Dear Rock Stars,

I just returned from an amazing Weekend Warrior Camp in Dallas, TX where our campers came together over the course of three days to put on an awesome show at the House of Blues last night.  It's amazing how tight people, who have never met each other (let alone played together), can sound after only 2 days of rehearsing.

A big THANK YOU to Rudy Sarzo, Teddy Andreadis, Mark Hudson, Kip Winger, Mark Farner, and Sandy Gennaro who had our bands sounding like professionals in such a short amount of time.  Also, props to John Moyer, Manny Charlton, and Dickey Betts for being such gracious special guests. John Moyer of Disturbed came out on Friday to help us kick off camp and led some awesome jams with our campers and counselors.  On Saturday, Manny Charlton from the band Nazareth, led a great guitar and songwriting clinic and on Sunday the great Dickey Betts jammed with campers and led a stellar All-Star Jam and the House of Blues.

On a personal note and as a football fan, it was a pleasure to meet football great and Dallas Cowboy, Walt Garrison at the performance on Sunday. Also, The Dallas Observer featured us in a show review that was released yesterday.  Click here to hear how Reporter Eric Grubbs describes: What It Was Like: Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp 2010.  Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp will finish it's Weekend Warrior Camps this coming weekend in Chicago.

We're sold out of guitarist and drummer spots, but if you play keyboards, bass or sing, call us today to get registered at 888.762.2263 or online at rockcamp.com.

If you're in the Chicago area, please plan to attend our final night show at the House of Blues on November 21st - starting at 7:30pm.  You can purchase tickets online!

For those of you thinking about coming to the Atlantis camp to rockout with Tommy Lee (Motley Crue) Ace Frehely (KISS) and Lita Ford (Formerly of The Runaways), let us entice you with amazing rates for all registered Atlantis Campers ranging from $249 to $349 depending on your choice of hotel tower.  Join us in Paradise!

Rock Camp Breaks VH1 Classic Viewing Records

Dear Rock Stars,
Wow! is the only word I can say.  Thank you so much to all of our followers and Rock Stars who have helped make the Mark Burnett TV series debut "Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp" a record breaking success for VH1 Classic.  I walked into the office of the President at VH1 Classic on Tuesday following the series premiere just as they were reviewing the ratings.  As luck would have it, I couldn't have walked in at a better time.  I was met with cheers and applause as they told me that the show broke all the channels ratings records.  I was over joyed as you can imagine.  I promise the show will only get better as Van Halen's bassist Michael Anthony appears on the next episode.
I would also like to thank all the press that gave us great reviews.  In the event that you missed the first episode, VH1 Classic will be running it a bunch of times through the season.  You can go to our website at www.rockcamp.com to view a list of all the run times.
If you live in the Philadelphia area, come join us at The Trocadero this Sunday night to experience first hand our camp rock bands as they live the fantasy.  And don't miss our all star jam with our Rock Star Camp Counselors Kip Winger, Rami Jaffee, Rudy Sarzo, Mark Farner and many more including headliner Dickey Betts of the Allman Brothers.  Tickets are on sale now.  We hope to see you there.
We hope that you will join us at one of our upcoming camps and we look forward to rockin' out with you all soon.
Warmest Regards,
David Fishof

“Music has the power to uplift, heal and transform.  The Camp taps into the power of music in unprecedented ways by bringing together lovers of music from all walks of life and places them under the tutelage of counselors who are masters of music for the purpose of creating music. Then something magical happens. The music becomes the bond in a transformative discovery of self in the context of a group.  People learn to create under the guidance of creative masters.  Campers build bridges between one another as they perfect the art of communicating in the world’s oldest language: music.  The Camp is more than jamming, recording and playing live with the rock stars; it’s an experience that will change your life forever.”

Tribute concert to Zeppelin's John Bonham an amazing evening

Dear Rock Star,
If you missed the CBS Morning Show with Charles Osgood segment on Rock 'n' roll Fantasy Camp that aired earlier this month, make sure you check it out by clicking here!  Here is your chance to get a first hand look at what happens at Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp.
I have had a special appreciation for drummers my entire career.  After all, my brother is a drummer, I traveled the world with Ringo Starr and Levon Helm, have a great relationship with the ultimate drummer’s magazine, Modern Drummer, and have had the privilege of meeting some of the world’s best professional and amateur drummers through Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp.
This past Saturday night, through an invitation from my friend and drummer extraordinaire, Kenny Aronoff, I attended a John Bonham tribute concert hosted at the Key Club on the Sunset Strip.  On stage for one night only, a rotating cast of guest drummers performed their favorite LED ZEPPELIN songs.  Performers included Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Fred Coury (Cinderella), Bobby Blotzer (RATT), Vinny Appice (Heaven and Hell), singer/sonwriter Zoe Bonham, Simon Wright (Dio, AC/DC), Stephen Perkins (Jane’s Addiction), Steven Adler (original Guns ‘N Roses drummer), Kenny Aronoff (John Fogerty), Chris Slade (AC/DC, The Firm), and many more!  The evening closed with John’s son, Jason Bonham, playing in honor of his father.  It was a drummer’s paradise, and I look forward to hosting many of these drummers at future Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camps.  Billy Amendola, Modern Drummer's editor, helped to host the concert and will be conducting some all-star drum clinics at future camps in addition to speaking at the Philadelphia camp.
In other news, a Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp All-Star Band performed last week at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego at a Time Inc. sales convention.  The band included Bruce Kulick (KISS), Chris Slade (AC/DC), Robin McCauley (Survivor), Teddy Andreadis (Guns ‘N Roses), Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot), and Mark Farner (formerly of Grand Funk Railroad).  Our Rock Stars put on an awesome night of all hit songs and even jammed with a few Time Inc. executives!
John Moyer of Disturbed
Last week we announced the addition of John Moyer to our Dallas camp and Jack Blades to our San Francisco camp.  We are so excited to include these two musicians in our lineup!  Jack has been a long time friend of Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp and John Moyer’s band, Disturbed, has the #1 album in the country right now!!  John, a bass player, will be joining us in Dallas before embarking on a major European tour, and we are thrilled to have him on board.
Keep an eye out for our ads on VH1 Classic.  The station recently started running ads promoting both our weekend camps and our upcoming series premier on October 16th at 10/9c.  We still have a few spots left in each city!  Please click on one of the links below or call 888-762-2263 x2 for more information or to sign-up.
