This past year we introduced a new singer /songwriter program as an additional package at our Rock and Roll Fantasy C amps. This program was open to a limited amount of participants who wanted the opportunity to focus on enhancing their songwriting skills and techiques. Our upcoming camp featuring David Crosby and Ginger Baker will once again offer this program, running in conjunction with our traditional Rock Fantasy Camp. At this experience you will be writing songs with top songwriters, as well as interact with all of our rock star talent and be able to take master classes with our superstar writers and musician counselors. You will also perform live at the legendary WHISKY A GO GO on the infamous SUNSET STRIP in Hollywood, CA.
I wanted to showcase three participants who were motivated to release new music after their past camp experience, and I hope your will download their music and support their efforts and tell your friends.
Here's our three featured past camper artists of the month:
Isabella Tang, a Stanford grad who works as a management consultant at a top firm in West LA, has taken a leap into the creative world where she’s begun to develop her double-life as a corporate suit by day and a whimsical dreamer by night with the release of her debut EP.
“If I Could Tell You”, available June 2 in digital stores, captures Isabella’s interests in both the worlds of math/science and poetry/literature. A self-described nerd, Isabella draws from these fascinations about the world to create a smart, spirited collection of songs.
Singer-songwriter, DannyD has now released his newest CD, Last Call, a 9-song, introspective compilation of love, loss and life experiences. Last Call introduces a unique synthesis of rock, alternative, americana and country to its thoughtful, storytelling songs.
"In May of 2014, I was at the end of my rope. I had been working on writing and recording songs I had written for about 5 years. I had gone through countless producers, songwriting partners, etc and I was no closer to having even one completed song. I was at a point of deciding to keep on working even if it meant starting over once again or giving up. Then I got an email that Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp was holding it's first ever Songwriters Camp. I signed up thinking that I'll go and spend time with other songwriters and make my decision based on how things at the Camp went. It was one of the best experiences of my life. I made numerous friends who have supported me not just during Camp but through the hard times afterward. With their support, I took control of my music and 6 months later released an EP of my songs. And it was such a great experience, that once I released the EP, I went back to Songwriters Camp to get a creative jumpstart on my next project. The Songwriters Camp was truly a life changing experience."
And if you've ever dreamed of being a rock star, you can come to Rock and Roll Fantasy camp and live out that dream! no musical experience necessary, non-competetive environment...come share the stage with some of music's greatest touring and recording musicians such as Danny Seraphine (Chicago), Bruce Kulick (KISS), Frankie Banali (Quiet Riot) and many more...
So if you're looking to achieve your dream of writing, singing and completing the songs you've been thinking about, or wanted to jam with and learn from true legends in the music world, there is no better opportunity than to sign up for our SINGER/SONGWRITING camp or any of our ROCK STAR packages, at this amazing camp with special guests David Crosby and Ginger Baker Nov 5-8 in Los Angeles.
