Deep Purple are considered to be among the pioneers of heavy metal and modern hard rock, although their musical approach changed over the years. Originally formed as a progressive rock band, the band shifted to a heavier sound in 1970.Deep Purple, together with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, have been referred to as the "unholy trinity of British hard rock and heavy metal in the early to mid-seventies". They were listed in the 1975 Guinness Book of World Records as "the globe's loudest band" for a 1972 concert at London's Rainbow Theatre and have sold over 100 million copies of their albums worldwide.
Deep Purple were ranked number 22 on VH1's Greatest Artists of Hard Rock program and a poll on British radio station Planet Rock ranked them 5th among the "most influential bands ever". The band received the Legend Award at the 2008 World Music Awards. Deep Purple were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.
Yes formed in London in 1968 by singer Jon Anderson, bassist Chris Squire, guitarist Peter Banks, keyboardist Tony Kaye, and drummer Bill Bruford and are most notably regarded as progressive rock pioneers.
Yes are one of the most successful, influential, and longest-lasting progressive rock bands. They have sold 13.5 million RIAA-certified albums in the US. In 1985, they won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance with "Cinema", and received five Grammy nominations between 1985 and 1992. They were ranked No. 94 on VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock. Their discography spans 21 studio albums. In April 2017, Yes were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Chuck Leavell has served as the principal touring keyboardist and de facto musical director of The Rolling Stones since 1982. As a session musician, Leavell has performed on every Rolling Stones studio album released during his tenure with the exception of Bridges to Babylon (1997). He has also toured and recorded with Eric Clapton, George Harrison, David Gilmour, Gov't Mule and John Mayer and was a member of the Allman Brothers Band throughout their commercial zenith in the 1970s,

Tony Franklin
Known as the "Fretless Monster", Tony Franklin has played alongside some of the greatest names in music history. He got his big break in 1984 as bassist in stellar supergroup The Firm, with guitar legend Jimmy Page, vocalist Paul Rodgers and drummer Chris Slade (AC/DC, Manfred Mann's Earth Band). After two hit albums and extensive touring with The Firm, Franklin subsequently performed with Blue Murder (John Sykes, Carmine Appice), David Gilmour, Kate Bush, Whitesnake, Roy Harper, Pat Travers, Tony McAlpine, Gary Hoey, Donna Lewis, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Vasco Rossi, Eros Ramazzotti and many others. An in-demand session bass ace, he has appeared on more than 150 albums.

Deep Purple
These British rockers had been calling themselves Roundabout, before the Yes song of the same name. At guitarist Ritchie Blackmore’s suggestion, they changed it to Deep Purple after a song that went back to the big-band era. It was first cut by the Paul Whiteman band in the '30s.

How do I sign up?

What exactly happens at Camp?
Rock and Roll Fantasy camp is a fully interactive, participatory camp with a non-competitive atmosphere. There's no audition here! Whatever your instrument---be it voice, guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, etc!---we will make sure you can make a meaningful contribution.
Whatever your level of proficiency---from lead guitar to rhythm guitar to air guitar!---you'll find your abilities and confidence grow as you rehearse under the constant guidance of one of our amazing rock star counselors such as Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot), Derek St. Holmes (Ted Nugent), Dave Moreno (Puddle of Mudd), Steve Ferlazzo (Avril Lavigne) and many more... These master musicians won't simply coordinate your band, they'll inspire you in a series of intimate master classes on your instrument, stage presence, and everything rock and roll, along with tales from the road and our newest class, THE ROUNDTABLE, where you can bring YOUR original song to work on with our incredibly talented and skilled rock star counselors. You will prepare for your jam session with our incredible headliners as well as your two live performances, including your show at the Whisky A Go Go. They'll be Q&A's with our headliner and rock star counselors, parties, catering, your road crew and so much more!
What skill level do I need to be to attend camp?
Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp is a non-competitive environment and open to ALL SKILL LEVELS. Whether you are a beginner or an expert or something in between, we have a band for you!
How old do you have to be to attend camp?
The Camp is for adults 17+. We have a Young Rockers Band for kids 10-16. Campers under the age of 18 must be chaperoned by an adult and purchase a spouse/family package.
How are bands formed?
After you complete the registration form, you will receive a camper questionnaire which will contain questions regarding your musical interests, camp goals and other information regarding your music likes. After the form is completed and sent back, our team will put you in a band with other campers that have similar musical talent, interests, etc. You can always call our office to speak with us. We do our best to make sure your placement is perfect!
How much does the camp cost?
We have various packages to fit your budget. Click on our "Upcoming Camps" tab above and then click on the destination you want pricing information on. Scroll down to see the options. Call 888 762 2263 for information on payment plans.
$499 deposit holds your spot: If you do not pay in full when you register you will be billed in equal monthly installments and your card will AUTOMATICALLY be billed the first business day of each month leading up to camp. Payment amount will be determined according to what is due and how many months out the camp is, unless other payment arrangements are made. Camp must be paid in full prior to camp. RRFC does not issue refunds.
What does the camp fee include?
The camp fee includes an opening night party, lunches and dinners, studio time, backline equipment, evening activities, a link to a video of your final night's performance, transportation to and from all camp events, a full production crew, a designated band manager, camp credentials, and a RRFC swag bag.
Hotel and airfare are not included.

TONY FRANKLIN

Living in little old Edmonton, Alberta, Canada it's not every day I get to meet my musical heroes and being able to meet Jerry and Mike - who have been on posters on my wall since I was 15 years old and whose music is still a huge part of me - was a high point in my life for sure! I was struck at how nice they were, and the time each were willing to take to just even have a quick conversation with each of the campers on stage as I know it must have been a long day for them. It's been a week since that day and I'm still kind of buzzing about it, and it will be a memory I really treasure forever.
