But he is perhaps best known for three long-term associations in which he not only helped create some of the most important music of the rock era, but also set standards for rock production that set him aside as a true innovator. His work with Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Kiss produced music which continues to influence rock musicians and producers today. 17 Hertz Studio in North Hollywood has been utilized by such artist as Jimi Hendrix, Tom Petty, Sammy Hagar, Alice in Chains and many more.  Previously called One On One Recording, the studio  was highly recognized for Metallica’s 16x platinum Black Album, which was recorded in full at this facility. Two documentaries captured great visuals of Metallica at One On One, A Year and a Half in the Life of Metallica and Classic Albums: Metallica – The Black Album.
