Get Joe Perry’s New Book & then Bring it to Life at Camp!

I was home Sunday night finishing the last 10 pages of Joe Perry’s new autobiography, “Rocks: My Life In And Out Of Aerosmith,” when the phone rang at 9 p.m.

Hi David, it’s Joe Perry. I’m in Chicago promoting my book.”

As an avid reader of rock books over the years, I have to admit that I was blown away by this one. I told him and I now I’m telling you that this book is one of the best I’ve ever read. I’ve heard many of the stories over the years and I’ve read about many of them in a book written about Aerosmith just a few years ago by Steven Davis. But in this book, Joe tells his side of the story and it’s amazing.

My two quick takeaways from the book were:
1.     Joe is very loyal to his wife and unlike some other rockers, does not like to brag about all the groupies and wild times. In fact, the only one he mentions is Judy Carne from “Laugh-In.” Note: Frankly, I’ve heard the same story from the late Davy Jones.

2.     Although the band has accused past management of ripping them off, Joe admits that the band should take some responsibility. Of course he’s honest about the drug use, the musical stories and collaborations, the ups and downs of the band, and their relationship within the group.

I was touched when he told me that appearing at Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy Camp last year was an incredibly magical experience for him, and that it helped motivate him to finish his book. Wow! So not only are we helping your dreams come true by letting you meet and jam with legends like Joe, we’re helping hisdreams come true too.  Now that’s a win for everyone!

Two things I want you to do right now. (coffee can wait).

1.     Get your hands on this book by clicking here immediately and start reading what I consider to be, one of the greatest rock books of all time!  And spread the word about it to your rocker friends or fans of the band.

2.     I’d like to invite all of you to come jam with Joe Perry at our next camp at Foxwoods Resort Casino on Jan 15-19 (MLK weekend). This is a gift you will want to give a loved one or even yourself. Joining Joe will be Steve Morse of The Dixie Dregs and Deep Purple and Lou Gramm, the original lead singer of Foreigner.

Imagine jamming and performing the hits with these superstars. I’m personally going to buy a bunch of books and give an autographed copy to everyone who signs up!

Your dream is out there waiting for you and grab it.  This is your chance.  Don’t miss out!

Sincerely,
David Fishof

Hot Off The Press! Time To "Rock Your Business."

Rock Your Business
What You And Your Company Can Learn From The Business Of Rock And Roll

Dear Friends,
For the last 15 years, it has been my pleasure to watch all my camp’s participants live out their rock ‘n’ roll fantasies. I’ve written a book titled “Rock Your Business: What you and your company can learn from the business of rock ‘n’ roll” (BenBella Books), which will be released on September 4th. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to co-write the book with best selling New York Times author, Michael Levin and I hope this book will inspire corporate America, business executives, aspiring college students, entrepreneurs, and music fans with big ideas to follow their dreams.

From evaluating your idea and finding partners to creating a business plan and crafting the perfect pitch, I hope to offer entrepreneurs practical, sound business advice.  “Rock Your Business” is about what you and your business can learn from my experience in rock ‘n’ roll.  By reading this book, I hope you will absorb the many lessons one learns while working in the music industry, and then be able to apply the lessons to your own success and growth.  A past camper, Frank Pawlak, who has attended camp twice said, “...not sure what’s more impressive about the rock camps... whether it’s the way it makes you a better musician, or how it sharpens your skills so you can become a more intuitive manager.”

Thanks for your support!

Rock Your Business & Your Career!!!

Dear Rock Stars,

In the next two months two very exciting books are being released about Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp. One is mine, called “Rock Your Business: What You And Your Company Can Learn from the Business of Rock and Roll” being released by BenBella Books on September 4 and you can preorder it by clicking here.  "Rock Your Business" explains how the most successful acts are able to market, barter, form strategic partnerships, and overcome obstacles. From evaluating your idea and finding partners, to creating a business plan and crafting the perfect pitch, this book offers entrepreneurs practical, sound business advice.

The second book, released by Harper Collins titled, “Power Chord” by Thomas Scott McKenzie highlights our past camper Thomas’ experience when he attended the Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp in November 2009 in Los Angeles. This book talks about Thomas’ journey to meet his Rock Star heroes and dedicates a lot of the book to his experience at Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp.  The book shows all the excitement that he goes through and the emotions that he feels during the camp process. “Somewhere in the building was Ace Frehley, the original guitarist for KISS, whose riffs and solos were the soundtrack of my childhood….And now, thirty years later, Frehley was going to play “Rip It Out” from his 1978 solo record with us.” “I had devoted years to hunting down and meeting my guitar heroes. And now I was about to play on the stage that had showcased so many of them.” (Whisky A Go-Go)
