DRUM SPOTS ARE SOLD OUT!! All spot are going fast! Register before we are all sold out!
Dear Liz,
I want to first express that the last thing I ever want to do is promise anyone any career by going to Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp, BUT never the less, the relationships that campers make at camp between themselves and the rock stars is always what I hear is an awesome perk achieved at Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp. In this newsletter I wanted to share with you three campers stories:
1. Anthony Mullin attended a camp with Joe Perry as a featured artist . A few months after meeting Joe and his rep at camp he sent them his CD and asked if his band could open for Aerosmith in Moscow because their lead singer is from Russia. Lo and behold his dream came true and he called to tell me it was surreal to open before 50,000 screaming fans in Moscow Stadium!
2. A group of campers signed up to Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp a few times when Mark Farner was a rock star in residence. The band grew up on Grand Funk Railroad and Mark always loved to spend time with them because they were great fans and musicians. Well now they are Mark Farner's backing band on his new single and video that's gone viral around the world? Click here to see the video and read their story
3. Kane Roberts, known for being Alice Cooper's guitarist, has just released his solo record on Frontier Records and had one of our campers play drums on the record! Chris Tisi, from Florida, played on the track "FOREVER OUT OF PLACE". CLICK HERE to listen to the song.
Meanwhile there’s so many stories of how Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp keeps giving for years after someone attends, so don’t miss out on signing up for the next camp to jam with our amazing musicians and see first hand why each camp is always 50% return campers. DON’T GET SHUT out and immerse yourself in the experience of Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp-DRUM SPOTS ARE SOLD OUT!! All spot are going fast! Register before we are all sold out!

COUNSELOR OF THE WEEK
Billy Sheehan has played bass on dozens of records and toured all over the world for many decades. His unique and original style of playing has been celebrated and documented everywhere. His playing, singing, songwriting, and contributions to his many recordings have resulted in millions of records sold, Platinum and Gold status worldwide, Reader’s Poll Awards too many to list, Number #1 hits, Number #1 Video’s, sold-out shows, and most importantly the mutual love, friendship and respect between himself and many millions of fans around the globe.
Starting in his hometown of Buffalo, NY in the early ’70’s with the now legendary hard rock trio Talas, he went on to join David Lee Roth in the summer of ’85 when Dave quit Van Halen to go out on his own. Along with Steve Vai & Gregg Bissonette, the legendary Eat ‘Em and Smile record and tour went on to platinum status and sold out shows everywhere. Leaving in 1987 to start his own new band, he founded Mr. Big, who went on to achieve a number one hit in fourteen countries, staying number 1 in the USA BillBoard charts for 3 solid weeks. Along with Mr Big members Eric Martin, Paul Gilbert and Pat Torpey, they recorded and toured the world for a decade more, till disbanding in 2002. Mr Big reunited in 2009 and performed a sold-out world tour, and then recorded “What If…” in 2011…to rave reviews and another sold-out world tour.
Most recently Billy joined Mike Portnoy and Richie Kotzen to form “The Winery Dogs”. Their first release in July of 2013 entered the BillBoard Top 200 Albums at #27…and has been received everywhere with spectacular reviews and sold-out shows.
With his history of live performances and/or recordings with Talas, UFO, David Lee Roth, Mr.Big, Niacin, Steve Vai and now The Winery Dogs, he has had a huge and undeniable influence on modern bass playing that has spread all over the globe and will continue for many years to come.
RRFC REVIEW OF THE DAY:
"I truly can say there is not one aspect of my time at RRFC that I did not thoroughly enjoy. There is so much more to it than the headliners and iconic venues. Like most experiences it is the people that make the difference and I have met so many great ones at camp - campers, counselors, staff and stars.
Thank you for having this vision and congratulations on 20 years of camps. I hope someday I can return for another camp, maybe with my son." Matt H
ROCK AND ROLL JOKE OF THE DAY:
Q: What's the similarity between a drummer and a philosopher?
A: They both perceive time as an abstract concept.
Rock and Roll Fact of the Day:
1981, David Bowie made his final appearance as the Elephant Man at The Booth Theatre, Broadway in New York City.
