Dear Rockers,

We are thrilled to announce that we have added Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter Melissa Manchester, as a special guest to our songwriter package, at the upcoming camp with Paul Stanley and Don Felder June 23-26, 2016 in Hollywood CA. Melissa will be teaching a special interactive songwriting master class based around your original material.

During this very intimate class, Melissa will work with our campers on their original songs, as she gives insight to her own songwriting techniques and methods. She will listen to YOUR song and work thru it with you so that it becomes the final product you have in mind.   You will have the opportunity to participate in this extraordinary experience as you ask Melissa for advice, guidance and learn from her incredible musical career that has spanned over 40 years!

Melissa Manchester’s remarkable recording career started when she signed her first publishing deal at the age of 17. Soon after, the native New Yorker was singing back-up for Bette Midler as a founding member of the Harlettes, and studying songwriting with Paul Simon at New York University. Her debut album, Home to Myself, was released in 1973; Manchester co-wrote many of its songs with Carole Bayer Sager. Two years later, Manchester's album Melissa produced her first top ten hit, "Midnight Blue", which enjoyed 17 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Her recording of the Peter Allen/Carole Bayer Sager anthem “Don’t Cry Out Loud” earned Melissa her first Grammy nomination for Best Pop Female Vocal Performance in 1979, an award that she won four years later for her hit “You Should Hear How She Talks About You”. Also in 1979, not one, but TWO  of her songs, “Through the Eyes of Love” and “The Promise,” were nominated for Academy Awards.

Manchester collaborated with KENNY LOGGINS to co-write Loggins' 1978 hit duet with STEVIE NICKS,  "Whenever I Call You Friend"
She's also a talented actress, which she showed in her role as the mother on NBC’s Blossom
Today, Melissa teaches music at USC, and recently released her first studio album in a decade, titled "You Gotta Love the Life."

Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn from a true music icon! All campers will be welcome to attend.
