Take Your Songs from Paper to the Stage!

Joe Vitale was part of Joe Walsh's first solo albumBarnstorm, playing drums and co-writing “Giant Behemoth” and “Mother Says”. He continued in the role on Walsh's next album The Smoker You Drink, the Player You Get, co-writing “Rocky Mountain Way” and writing “Book Ends” and “Days Gone By”. After that, Vitale appeared on the majority of Walsh's albums, co-writing songs onBut Seriously, FolksYou Bought It - You Name ItGot Any Gum?Ordinary Average Guy, and Songs for a Dying Planet. When Walsh was asked to bring in a song for Hotel California, the one that he'd written with Vitale, “Pretty Maids All in a Row”, was the one that Glenn and Don Henley liked the best.

Jack Tempchin wrote and co-wrote two songs on the best-selling U.S. album of the 20th Century, respectively: "Peaceful Easy Feeling" and "Already Gone" co-writing their hits "Somebody," and "It's Your World Now." During Glenn Frey's solo career Jack co-wrote a dozen radio hits in the 1980s with Glenn Frey: “Sexy Girl”, “The One You Love”, “Party Town”, “True Love”, “Part of You Part of Me” (for Thelma & Louise), “You Belong To The City” and “Smugglers Blues” (for Miami Vice). Other notable artists Tempchin has written with include Emmylou Harris, George Jones, Patty Loveless, Glen Campbell, and many more.

Artist Spotlight!
Brad Whitford (Aerosmith)
As an original member of AEROSMITH--Brad Whitford is known for his guitar prowess and co-writing some of the group's standout tracks, including "Round and Round," "Nobody's Fault," and the funk-rocker "Last Child.” Along with fellow AEROSMITH guitarist Joe Perry, Whitford was included in the Guitar Worldbook, The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time in 2007.

Upon growing up in Reading, MA, Whitforddiscovered such blues-based hard rock acts as Led Zeppelin and Humble Pie, which would shape his playing style that would become an important ingredient to the now-identifiable AEROSMITH sound. After attending the prestigious Berklee School of Music in Boston during the early '70s, Whitford was invited to join up with AEROSMITH, who were still and up-and-coming local Boston band at the time. "The first time I played with Brad, it just seemed to work,” says Joe Perry. "The chemistry was right." Whitford and AEROSMITH slowly but surely built up a solid following by non-stop touring and by the end of the ‘70s they became one of the decade's most popular and influential acts.

In 1980, Brad left AEROSMITH and teamed up with Derek St. Holmes who previously played with Ted Nugent to form Whitford/St. Holmes. In 1981 they recorded their self titled first and only album Whitford/St. Holmes. In 1984 both Brad and guitarist Joe Perry returned to AEROSMITH to take part in the hugely successful reunion tour “Back In The Saddle.”

Outside of AEROSMITH, Whitford produced an album in 1990 for the Boston band The Neighborhoods, Hoodwinked. In 2007,Brad co-founded Three Monkeys Amplifiers with his guitar Tech Greg Howard. Brad has also participated in “Experience Hendrix Tour”--the concert tour that has wowed audiences revisiting the music and inspiration of Jimi Hendrix with an all-star lineup of music greats--since 2010.

To jam with this guitar great sign up now for our Summer Fantasy Camp- call 888.762.2263 ext 5 to reserve your spot.
