Rock and Roll Fact of the Day:
2002, In the dispute over who owned the rights to Nirvana's recordings former members Dave Grohl and Kirst Novoselic asked a Seattle Court to prove that Courtney Love was mentally stable. They told the court that Love was 'irrational, mercurial, self-centred, unmanageable, inconsistent and unpredictable.' They also claimed a contract was invalid because Love was 'stoned' at the time.

MORE ROCK STARS ADDED TO JUDAS PRIEST CAMP!

---

Dear Rockers,

We are very excited to announce that we have added four amazing counselors to our Judas Priest camp-BUMBLEFOOT, STU HAMM, JOE VITALE and ROBERT SARZO!  All of these talented musicians will be spending 4 days with our campers, teaching master classes, hosting jam rooms, and preparing their camper bands for the live performances with Judas Priest!

BUMBLEFOOT - Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal is an award-winning Multi-instrumentalist, Vocalist, Songwriter, Producer and World-renowned Guitar virtuoso, with over 20 years of releasing music, playing international festivals and headlining tours, and gracing magazine covers as a solo artist. As lead guitarist of Guns N' Roses (2006 – 2014) Bumblefoot toured sold-out shows all over the world, headlining festivals with crowds up to 150,000. Bumblefoot's unique 'fretless guitar' can be heard throughout GNR's 2008 Chinese Democracy album. Bumblefoot's recent Little Brother Is Watching album is an eccentric, upbeat collection of epic, modern rock with haunting melodies, huge choruses and witty lyrics about life in the digital age and beyond. The day after its release, the album went as high as #4 on the Amazon.com Rock charts in Europe.Bumblefoot's recent collaborations include rock group Art Of Anarchy (featuring vocalist Scott Weiland and Disturbed bassist John Moyer) and DMC (from the iconic rap group Run DMC) / Generation Kill.  He is also an accomplished composer whose music is often heard in TV, film and video games including the theme song to VH1's "That Metal Show".

STU HAMM - known for his session and live work with numerous artists as well for his unconventional playing style and solo recordings. Hamm has performed and recorded with Steve Vai, Frank Gambale, Joe Satriani and many other well-respected guitarists. It was playing live on tour with Satriani that brought Hamm's skills to national attention. Subsequent recordings with Satriani and other rock/fusion artists, along with the release of his own solo recordings (featuring a.o. keyboard player Tommy Mars), solidified his reputation as a bassist and performer.

JOE VITALE - is an American singer, songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. In a career spanning more than 40 years, Vitale has played with many of the top names in music during a career dating back to the 1970s. His first national break came when Ted Nugent hired him to play drums in the Amboy Dukes in 1971. That fall Vitale was invited by his former Kent State classmate Joe Walsh to join Barnstorm, a new group being formed by Walsh in Colorado. The group recorded two albums together and Vitale and Walsh began a longtime partnership although Barnstorm broke up in 1974. He joined the Stills-Young Band for the Long May You Run sessions. Later, Vitale would be one of the musicians that Crosby, Stills & Nash record and tour with beginning with the CSN album and continuing until 2009. He has also co-produced and contributed songs to Crosby, Stills & Nash as well as to solo efforts by Stephen Stills and Graham Nash. Meanwhile, Vitale's longtime partner Walsh became part of the Eagles and Vitale became part of the Eagles' road band on drums and keyboards,The Walsh/Vitale song "Pretty Maids All in a Row" appears on the Eagles' album Hotel California. Among other artists with whom Vitale has appeared are Dan Fogelberg, Peter Frampton, John Entwistle, and Zakk Wylde.  He is currently on tour with Joe Walsh.

ROBERT SARZO - His career has spanned 40 years. He has worked with an array of notable and iconic people in the entertainment industry. Robert has worked with Interscope/Universal Record's Jimmy Iovine and legendary metal producers, Bob Ezrin and Mike Clink. He also worked with Robert Stigwood of "Saturday Night Fever" and Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts" fame on numerous soundtracks. Robert formed his band Hurricane in the early 80's and went on to have hits such as "Over the Edge" and their #1 hit "I'm Onto You."  Not just a heavy metal/rock and roll guitarist with a classical background, Robert Sarzo has branched out to become a producer and movie music composer.Include the movies, "The Hiss", written and produced by David Lynch's daughter, Jennifer, and the 2009 wide-release "The Collector" written and produced by Marcus Dunstan writer of Saw 4, 5, & 6.Current projects are Hurricane, A Salute To Santana and his 80 Proof VuDu Blues band.
Along with Vinny Appice (Black Sabbath, Dio), Tracii Guns (LA Guns), Phil X (Bon Jovi), Chip Znuff (Enuff Znuff), Frank Dimino (Angel), and Teddy Andreadis (Guns N Roses) we have an undeniably amazing group of talent ready to make your rock and roll fantasies a reality!

Fab Four Fantasy Up Next

Dear Rock Stars, Many thanks to all who attended our New York Fantasy Camp. It was great to see Leslie West who influenced so many guitarists, Yngwie Malmsteen, Robben Ford, Johnny Winter and the legendary drummer from KISS, Peter Criss. Campers joined us from all over the United States, and some came from as far as Germany and Australia to join us! We heard your requests, and RRFC would love to host more camps on the East Coast next summer.Check out a review from a Guitar World journalist who dropped by...

This weekend we head to Napa Valley to the Louis M. Martini Winery where Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp continues with special guest Joe Satriani. This SOLD OUT CAMP promises to be a camp full of wine, wisdom, and lots of Rock and Roll. Campers will indulge in the finest foods and wines all while rocking along with Phil Soussan (Billy Idol, Ozzy Osbourne), Kane Roberts (Alice Cooper), Teddy Andreadis (Guns N Roses, Alice Cooper), Vinny Appice (Dio, Black Sabbath) and Bruce Kulick (KISS)!

Meanwhile, we continue to upgrade our camp experiences. Campers who attend a Fantasy Camp in Las Vegas will now be able to invite friends and family to watch their live performances from home! RRFC offers FREE streaming for live broadcast sessions from our facility.

We also planning to bring back our bi-monthly call on our conference line for new campers to call in and ask questions about attending a Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp with our new President, Paul Davis. Paul continues each week to make the camp an even greater experience for all the attendees, no matter your musical abilities.

If you’ve ever wanted to learn to play The Beatles music correctly, hang with rockers who have performed with the Beatles, or are fans of The Fab Faux, this is the camp you don’t want to miss! We’re adding so many new guests for you to learn the legacy of the greatest band ever. Registration closes October 8, 2013

Another amazing Rock Camp experience will be this November when we present the greatest musicians whom have played on more records than any others. In fact, Leland Sklar, is in the Guinness Book of World Records for having played on more hit songs than any other musician. This is the perfect weekend and priced well for you to come and learn from the best. If you love Jackson Browne, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and James Taylor, these are the musicians who recorded on so many albums. Registration closes November 7, 2013

Rolling Stone journalist, Rob Sheffield, attended Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp in November 2002 to cover his journey at camp. He finally wrote about his experience in his latest book “Turn around Bright Eyes”. If you attended this camp, you will surely recall past memories and possibly see your name. Rob is a New York Times Best-Selling author and I remember him vividly partaking in Rock Camp 11 years ago, and this book describes his experience perfectly. The book is amazing as all his books are.
