“To be part of Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp isn’t just a fantasy for the people who are here, it’s my fantasy too, it’s really a gift to me as much as anybody else” - Paul Stanley
Over the course of four music filled days, attendees will be placed into bands led by rock star counselors including Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Whitesnake), Vinny Appice (Dio, Black Sabbath), Tracii Guns (LA Guns), Phil X (Bon Jovi) and many more. Musicians will hone their stage presence, learn to play some of classic rock’s greatest songs, get tips on playing as a band and hear stories of life on the road from their rock star counselors. Attendees will also attend master classes and jams rooms with these renowned musicians and then perform live with their band in front of a packed house at the infamous Whisky A Go Go on the Sunset Strip.
We also have a new beginners program that starts your expereince even prior to coming to camp, and a songwriter package where you will have the opportunity to refine your current songs and songwriting skills, hear how hit songs have been written and so much more!
For more than 30 years, Paul Stanley has reigned supreme as one of the single-most recognizable front men in the history of rock and roll. Stanley single-handedly penned such rock and roll anthems as “Love Gun,” “God of Thunder”, “Black Diamond” and wrote the timeless celebratory battle cry “I Want To Rock and Roll All Night And Party Everyday”. He was the golden throat that throttled “Detroit Rock City,” the charismatic swagger behind “I Was Made For Lovin’ You,” and stripped of makeup, was the unmasked troubadour that breathed vocal life into the ballads “Reason to Live,” “Forever” and “Every Time I Look At You.” Stanley designed and created the iconic KISS logo which 40 years on remains universally recognized as one of the greatest logos of the 20th century.
As the headliner at Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp, attendees will jam with Stanley at the Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp facility, as well as at the legendary Whisky A Go Go on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood.
Don Felder is renowned as a former lead guitarist of The Eagles, one of the most popular and influential rock groups of our time. The band’s record-setting compilation Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) sold over 29 million copies in the U.S. alone and was awarded by the RIAA the top-selling album of the 20th Century. A member of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since 1998, Felder served as a member of The Eagles for 27 years, putting his mark on numerous Eagles milestones. Felder originated the music and co-wrote The Eagles’ biggest hit – the iconic, Grammy-studded smash “Hotel California” – along with fan favorites like “Victim of Love” and “Those Shoes.” He became immediately celebrated for his lyrical, signature guitar work on legendary songs like “Hotel California,” “One of These Nights,” “New Kid In Town,” and numerous more.
Also participating in the amazing experience will be former lead vocalist of the blues rock band Grand Funk Railroad, Mark Farner. With hits such as “American Band”, “Some Kind of Wonderful” and “I’m Your Captain”, Grand Funk Railroad has sold millions of records throughout their career. Farner , as the lead singer and guitar player, continues to tour performing all the hits of his 40+ year career. Farner will be teaching a master class, jamming with the camper bands, and joining the all star counselor band for their opening night event.
Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp is a non-competitive atmosphere designed for all levels of musicians and music enthusiasts. Participants are placed in bands with like-minded people and skill level to make for an off-the-charts experience.
