When I decided to bring Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp to Abbey Road Studios in London it made the front page of the London Times. It seem that the episode of the Simpsons featuring Mick Jagger and Keith Richards was such a hit in the UK that they thought it was cool that we were actually bringing the camp to London.
The following week when the story broke I received a phone call from the late Jon Lord, the keyboardist for DEEP PURPLE. Jon had called me to say that he saw the story and episode and was so taken that the camp is coming to LONDON that he volunteered to teach and mentor rockers for FREE. He thought it was the coolest idea and came to Abbey Road to jam, lead master classes and even did a testimonial before he left. I wanted to always produce a DEEP PURPLE CAMP in his honor as a thank you to him for encouraging me to produce Rock Camps and therefore this camp is in tribute to this wonderful gentleman. Its not everyday a rock star of his magnitude calls you to encourage your ideas and passion and Jon Lord was that kind of man.
As the headliners at Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp, attendees will jam with IAN PAICE, STEVE MORSE and GLENN HUGHES at the Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp facility in Los Angeles, CA. From beginners to the novice, there is a band for you at this once in a lifetime Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp. There will be master classes on all instruments, themed jam rooms and the final night’s performance will be at the legendary Whisky A Go Go on the Sunset Strip!

We also have a new focus on our master classes with our amazing counselors such as Vinny Appice (Black Sabbath), Tony Franklin (The Firm), Elliot Easton (The Cars), Gary Hoey and many more, where you can present your original songs at our counselor round-table or learn the secrets of working successfully in a band. There are classes on all instruments, practice techniques, showmanship and so much more!
DEEP PURPLE together with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, have been referred to as the "unholy trinity of British hard rock and heavy metal”. They were listed in the 1975 Guinness Book of World Records as "the globe's loudest band" for a 1972 concert at London's Rainbow Theatre and have sold over 100 million albums worldwide.
DEEP PURPLE were ranked number 22 on VH1's Greatest Artists of Hard Rock program and a poll on British radio station Planet Rock ranked them 5th among the "most influential bands ever". The band received the Legend Award at the 2008 World Music Awards and were officially inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April 2016.
Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp is a non-competitive atmosphere designed for all levels of musicians and music enthusiasts.
