First of all, I'm glad that all of our campers and friends are safe from hurricane Irene. I remember when I moved to the West Coast three years ago, all of my New York friends told me to watchout for the earthquakes and hurricanes in Los Angeles.
It seemed that everyone who had power through the storm and throughout the country must have tuned into the second episode of "Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp" on Saturday, because our viewership doubled in just one week! If you weren't able to catch it when it aired, check it out here on Vh1's website. You can get your Paul Stanley fix until you come to camp this November! I was able to get a sneak peak of how great our Playboy Mansion party will be by attending a party at the Mansion last weekend with my wife. I spoke with a lot of people who said it had been on their "Bucket List" to see Hugh Hefner and to come to the Mansion, and the night was fun for all. Our own Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp alumni, The Cover Girls from Austin Texas, were the night's entertainment. The Cover Girls met while dropping their kids off at music lessons, and decided to form a band come to Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp. Under the direction of Kip Winger, and with some help from Lita Ford, they were prepared to perform at the Mansion and to meet and hang with Hef. It was truly amazing to see the Cover Girls on stage at the Mansion.

Speaking of upcoming camps, I always like to ask campers for suggestions of musicians they want to jam with. One name seems to come up among the likes of Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton, and that is Warren Haynes of the Allman Brothers and Gov't Mule, so I am excited to announce that Warren will be joining us at our President's Day Weekend camp alongside Zakk Wylde, legendary guitarist Steve Vai and Guns 'n Roses drummer Matt Sorum. I'm also excited to announce that Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Famer and legendary singer-songwriter of the Rascals, Felix Cavaliere, will be joining this amazing group of rockers. With hits like "Groovin," and "Beautiful Morning," along with his superb talent on the B3 Hammond, Felix's appearance is something not to be missed.
